At Tech Help with Q, I respect your privacy and keep things simple. I collect only the information I need to book appointments, provide tech support, and communicate with you.

What I Collect

When you book a service or contact me, I may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your home address (only if needed for in‑person visits)
  • Appointment details (date/time and notes you choose to share)

If you contact me by email, I’ll also receive whatever information you include in your message.

Tech Support Note (Important)

Because I provide tech support, you may choose to share information from your device (for example, emails, photos, accounts, or settings). I don’t “collect” that information unless you ask me to write something down, save a file, or send an email on your behalf.

Whenever possible:

  • You should type passwords yourself.
  • I don’t ask for or want your banking PINs or full payment card numbers.
  • If I need temporary access to an account to assist you, it’s only to complete the support request you've made.

How I Use Your Information

I use your information to:

  • Book appointments and provide tech support
  • Confirm, reschedule, and send reminders
  • Respond to your questions and messages
  • Send helpful info only if you ask for it
  • Share testimonials only with your permission (and typically first name only unless you request otherwise)

When I Share Your Information

I do not sell your personal information.

I may share or process your information using trusted service providers that help me run the business (see below). I may also share information if required by law.

The Tools I Use (Service Providers)

To operate my business, I use a small set of trusted tools:

  • Website hosting + security (Durable and Cloudflare): These help deliver the website and protect it from abuse.
  • Scheduling (Calendly): Used to let you book appointments online and to send scheduling emails/reminders.
  • Spam prevention (Google reCAPTCHA): Helps protect forms from spam and abuse.
  • Website analytics (Google Analytics): Helps me understand which pages are useful and how visitors use the site (for example: pages visited, approximate location, device/browser type). This helps me improve the website.
  • Email (Google Workspace / Gmail): Used to communicate with you and keep basic business records.

These providers may process data on my behalf to deliver their services.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Like most websites, Tech Help with Q uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential cookies are required for the site to function properly.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help me understand site usage.

You can control cookies in your browser settings. You can also use browser add-ons or privacy settings to limit analytics tracking.

Data Storage and Retention

I keep your information only as long as needed to:

  • Provide services and communicate with you
  • Maintain basic business records (for example, scheduling history and invoices)

International / Cross‑Border Processing

Some of the tools I use (for example, Google, Cloudflare, Calendly, and Durable) may store or process data outside of Canada. Privacy laws in other countries may be different. I use reputable providers and only share what’s needed to provide services.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask me to:

  • Access the information I have about you
  • Correct your information
  • Delete your information (where possible and not required for legal/accounting reasons)
